No, Microsoft has just revived the Studio Acquisition Wars

© Microsoft

Update: The studio acquisition wars are over? Unlike the comments in the original iteration of this article, Xbox boss Phil Spencer admitted that Microsoft continues to actively search for new studios for the purchase. Fortunately, the lawsuit pointed out that this is not a game of top trumps, as some fans seem to believe. "It's not really a PR struggle for the number of new acquisitions that we can bring on stage," he said to Eurogamer.net. "If we do not develop a great games, the acquisitions do not matter. But are we done? I do not believe that. "

And so it continues.

Original article: When her modest host was a little nipper, slaughl lines were drawn in the forum with exclusive play. Online residents spent a small hour to list first providers title for their favorite console, and it was the device with the highest quality software that drove with a self-sufficient sense of satisfaction in the sunset.

Over time - and the number of bonafide exclusive has decreased - have enthusiastic gamer newland entering, most recently in the form of studio acquisitions. Everything started with Microsoft has snapped a series of studios from the edge of the bankruptcy before a few E3s and has been a general discussion point.

Of course, Sony replied with a confirmation of the purchase of Insomniac Games - an acquisition that many years ago had to be made. Anyway, it looks like the "war" could finally be over since Xbox has suggested that the focus shifts from the purchase of developers to a new phase of "execution and delivery". In other words, it's time to make a few bleeding games.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan recently excluded for imminent acquisitions and explained that although he is always in search of great team, he would only invest in companies that in his opinion fit "right". To be honest, we would not be surprised if the Texas-based team Bluepoint would eventually join the Worldwide Studios family, but we are pleased to calm down this point for the time being.
