It is official: After fans had to speculate long, when the next Playstation event could expect, Sony has finally announced a new showcase for the PS5, which will provide us news about coming titles for the console. Here you get all the important information in the overview:
- Day: September 9, 2021
- Time: 22 pm German time
- Where: You can watch the stream on YouTube or Twitch
What will be seen?
The showcase should go for about 40 minutes and show us new PS5 games of large and small developers who appear to the end of the year and beyond. In addition, it will probably continue after the showcase itself. Here are some of the developer teams whose games we get to see, to speak and provide us with further updates.

We can expect these games: Although no concrete titles have been mentioned in the announcement, we can expect that we could at least get new gameplay to Horizon Forbidden West. Also news about the new God of War, Final Fantasy 16 and the Next-Gen Upgrade for GTA 5 would be conceivable. Maybe we will now get a concrete release date for Ghostwire: Tokyo after the shift.
Otherwise we can certainly look forward to some smaller titles of Third-Party developers. The focus is clearly clear on PS5 titles, as Sony already announced in the announcement.
No PSVR 2: Playstations New Generation of VR should not be represented at the event this time. Of course, PSVR 2 is meant for the PS5. So we still have to wait for an official release date. Most recently, a Leak 2022 called a possible release date. Also new AAA games could come out for the VR headset.
Which games do you hope in the new PS5 showcase?
