Rockstar Games has announced at the last minute that the physical version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition has been delayed for all platforms. Originally scheduled to launch at the beginning of this month, Rock star has now delayed this launch only a couple of weeks until mid-December. However, those who seek to retake the Nintendo Switch iteration from the remastered package will have to wait even a little more.
Recently detailed on the official Twitter page of Rock star, the study revealed that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition in PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One will not be launched until December 17. On the contrary, the game version for Nintendo Switch will not be launched at all at 2021. Instead, RockS tar has delayed this iteration of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition to an indeterminate date in 2022.
In general, RockS tar did not end up providing a reason for this delay with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition. However, since the delay was quite small, there is a possibility that the change of launch dates have to do with the logistics or shipping limitations that could have occurred in recent weeks.
The Nintendo Switch version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition, on the other hand, could be a completely different case. When this package was launched at the beginning of November, it was discovered that the SWITCH version of the collection was the worst of the group by far. As such, instead of launching the game in your switch base in this way with the promise of more updates, maybe RockS tar is looking to further improve the quality of this port before launching it in a physical format.
