Frog wares has published a new video of gameplay of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened And it is, of course, the one you have up here. The title will be published earlier this year in consoles and PC.
This The Awakened is a remake of the homonymous game (Sherlock Holmes: the adventure in Spanish) originally released in 2006 for PC and Wii. The original title, in the first person, already stood out for being a detective adventure based on the universe of Arthur Conan Doyle, but here is added a Lovecraft component with the combination with Cthulhu. In this review, rewritten, rebuilt and redesigned from scratch to work in Unreal Engine 4, we will live the story of Sherlock and Watson in their first important case together: «A sect obsessed with the gods of Eldritch is moving in the shadows to carry out A prophecy that alters the world, and depends on the young detective duo frustrating their plans, we read in its description.
In the gameplay above, precisely, you can clearly see some news of the game for modernization towards current mechanical standards.
The Ukrainian Frog wares study announced this project last August as part of a Kickstarter in which they had an initial goal of €70,000, and that would have to develop outside Kyiv due to the Russian invasion. At the moment, they already have 4,876 sponsors and have raised €252,599 in total, after exceeding their first objective in just six hours since the publication of the page. Although in the trailer it only appears as a reference that the game will be in early 2023, in Kickstarter we can find a somewhat more specific track that limits the launch window to the next month of February.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened will be published in February 2023 for Xbox One , Xbox Series X | S , PS4 , PS5 , Switch and PC through Steam , GOG and Epic Games Store .
