Release of PSVR2 foreseeable? Supposedly it will soon be in mass production

For PSVR2, it has become quite quiet in recent months, except for a few patents — for example, the possible look of the headsets there were no unofficial or even official information about the next PlayStation VR Generation.

That's why the rumor is that now spread from China to us, the more interesting. Because according to a Chinese analyst, PSVR2 should soon go into mass production. These designs were picked up by Hardware Analyst Brad Lynch and shared on Twitter.

What does that mean?

If this rumor is actually voting, that would mean that the development on the PSVR2 hardware is completed in the most important points and now can now be produced for the delivery to the trade.

That would be an indication that it should not be possible until a possible release of the system no longer so long, a publication date this year would be quite possible. That would fit a report from last year, after the PSVR2 should appear in the course of 2022:

In general, however: Like every rumor you should enjoy this with extreme care. Although there is the statement to a possible early mass production, this is not confirmed by Sony page.

Especially for such an announcement so far also important facts are missing. For, for example, while we already know how the controllers of PSVR2 will look like, there is no information on the design and operation of the associated headset so far. So before Sony makes a possible release date officially, this information should first be announced.

Of course, the year is still long and offers sufficient opportunities for an official announcement. Possible that soon movement comes to the PSVR2 thing.
